Cynosure (si'ne-shoor') noun. A center of interest, attraction, or admiration.
Makers of music are commonly the center of attraction and admiration. Everyone has the
ability to make music. Some are good. Some are bad. And thankfully, some are
amazing.
Sorting through all of the available music can be tough. New CDs are being released daily.
CDs from around the world are being pressed as you read this. New CDs are hiding around
the corner from you. You want to know about them. You want to know which ones to
buy, and which to avoid.
Cynosure is here for those reasons. We love music. We listen to it almost all the time. We
even make a little music ourselves (we won't tell you if we're good or bad, but we're certainly
not amazing!). One of our original sponsors is Flash Magazine, which is a music magazine
that publishes in our area. They helped get us started, and we thank them for it (especially
Mike Doyle). We have contacted every major and independent record label in the United
States. We are hoping to hook up with the international ones also. We spend our days
listening and our nights reviewing the many new CDs that come out each week.
Most importantly, we provide these reviews to you. You are our customer. Everything we
do here is geared to providing you with the best information about these CDs, so that you
can make informed consumer decisions. If we let you down, than we fail. We don't like
failing!
Obviously, we can't guarantee that you will agree with all of our choices and opinions. We
stand by our reviews annd reviewers. What they write is their opinion and we allow them to
speak their mind here. You will also get our opinion on every new review.
We have no bosses. We have no one paying us. We are selling nothing, unlike many of the
other music review sources out there. We find it hard to trust someone's opinion about
something when they are trying to sell it to you also! Kind of unusual how all of their
"reviews" are positive and the CDs all seem to be "the best this band has to offer." We do
this because we love this stuff! Therefore, you are getting unbiased (our biases and no one
elses!) reviews and information. Isn't that great!
We know about and want to use these
features, but alas we can¹ t. To fully appreciate this site, you will need to be using a
browser that supports most of the HTML+ and HTML 3.2 (currently, Navigator and Internet Explorer 3.0 and above)
coding schemes. Any other browser should primarily only mess up on our home page.
Thank you for coming to Cynosure.

Once again, thanks for visiting Cynosure.
Music is one of the centers of our world. We listen to it. We dance to it. We cry to it. We
even make love to it. Everything we do goes better with music.
