As many times as Thrillcat has played in Tidewater in that one particular establishment, most of you
have, hopefully, had the opportunity to check out their addictive set.
"Green Thumb," a horticultural thesis, is also a newly released Thrillcat experimentation. Serving as a
bridge between albums, "Green Thumb" is an EP of seven upbeat and groovy shakes on life. Call them
caffeinated lounge tunes.
Soiled with a variety of beats, the album contains numbers like "Story of My Life," which tells thump
and more aesthetics while the sunny beat of "In Your Garden" lyrically weeds a lover out of a jealous
barfly's night life. The atypical practicality of "You're Jaking Me Around" crosses an
intersection where Squeeze meets They Might Be Giants. The city aroma of "Ten Dollars," the sauciness
of "Sit By The Phone," and the funky vibe of "King of the Mountain" make "Green Thumb" an enjoyable
musical endeavor, showcasing the talent the trio is blessed with.
