Well, so far, I'd be very happy to turn this off. But I've only heard the first three songs, and
I can't really distinguish between them.
The Dwellers do have one thing going for them. They have a record deal, the hair, the tattoos and a
record deal. What is amazing, is why?
I know for sure two dudes who'd love to rag the hell out of their video, if they have one.
What is bothersome is what made this group stand out? Haven't (obviously) these record company
big-wigs heard of local bands like Sea of Souls, Candid,
WaterWorks, Left Wing Fascists
(insert your favorite local band) or the Killroos? It seems they try to outdo each other in signing
everything in sight, regardless of talent, and ignore the bands that have the attributes The Dwellers
sorely lack.
"Whatever Makes You Happy" doesn't break any new ground, lyrically or musicianship-wise,
but falls into the abyss of bands that sound like everyone else, and tend to defy categorization.
