Well, I'm dying to know if anyone out there has eaten anything out of the refrigerator, especially
the Cardiff Reefers' 100% Natural Extra Chunky Peanut Butter. I know that would put you in a mood.
The CD was recorded live at The Belly-Up Tavern, in Solana Beach, CA. The band is based
out of San Diego, I believe, and have toured around the country, bringing their style of reggae to
places like Detriot, Chicago, New York, Phoenix, etc., etc.
"Morning Glory," a 6-minute song dedicated not to the flower, but to some "blossoming"
organ, is completely hilarious. The chorus goes like this:
"Let me tell you a story, about a famous Morning Glory
"It's so sneaky and quiet as a mouse
"You often find it in a Cardiff Reefers' house.
The next verse continues:
"Woke up this morning, the sun was so bright,
"My Morning Glory was feeling alright,
"Woke up my lady and said there's someone to meet.
"She asked me who and I pulled down the sheet.
"You should have seen the look in her eyes,
"'Oh Thank you baby for such a sweet surprise."
They also do a song, "H.E.M.P." - a natural for any reggae band - that extols the virtue of bringing
back the hemp (for medicinal purposes). Amen brother.
